My big, Jenny, is a huge Disney fanatic and we both love the environment so I combined both things she loves into a Mickey Head Earth! I loved the way this earth turned out I think it’s so cute and I wanted just the earth to myself.
- Started with 1 small styrofoam ball and then 2 mini styrofoam balls.
- Cut the 2 mini styrofoam balls to have a flat end and glued it to the base (small styrofoam ball)
- Wrapped the whole head in Crayola air dry clay
- It cracked a lot so I coated it in multiple thin layers of pva glue to smooth the surface for drawing and painting
- Used a regular ink pen to draw the world map on the head, and luckily it didn’t dry all the way so I was able to erase my work and fix anything that looked unproportional
- Painted the continents first because that was the hardest part for me
- Painted the water
