At NVEEE, we believe that support should always be within reach. The Share the Care campaign was created to bridge the gap between individuals in crisis and the life-saving resources they need. Through thoughtfully designed signage and decals featuring essential helplines or scannable QR codes, we make it easier than ever for people to access mental health support, crisis intervention, and community services.
We want our resources to be placed in schools, college campuses, community centers, and public spaces. We want to ensure that no one feels alone during their toughest moments. Whether someone is struggling with mental health challenges, bullying, self-harm, domestic violence, substance abuse, or suicidal thoughts, these resources provide a discreet, access to trusted resources and information to help individuals navigate challenges and find the support they need.
Each QR code links directly to NVEEE’s We Care resource hub (nveee.org/wecare), a central directory of national hotlines, mental health support services, LGBTQ+ resources, crisis text lines, and emergency assistance programs. By making these resources more visible and accessible, we empower communities to foster a culture of care, connection, and intervention.
In addition to mental health and crisis resources, NVEEE’s We Care page also connects individuals with essential community services such as food pantries, scholarships, financial aid guidance, and voter registration information. Our goal is to ensure that everyone has the tools and support they need to thrive.
Please note that NVEEE’s We Care resource page is currently undergoing maintenance as of January 2025. Thank you for your patience.
Phone Design
The phone design was the foundation of the Share the Care campaign, created to display essential crisis helplines in a clear, accessible way. This concept ensures that anyone can quickly find support when they need it most.
Featuring vital phone numbers for mental health, crisis intervention, and community assistance, the phone serves as a dedicated resource for immediate help at a glance.
The Process:

Game Console Design
After Jowharah and the team conceptualized the ‘Share the Care’ phone for the campaign, I was thrilled to contribute by integrating my existing design work. Inspired by my love for gaming and the Nintendo Switch, I adapted my Twitch BRB screen design to complement the campaign’s message. It felt like the perfect match, using bold colors to symbolize accessibility and support while maintaining a vibrant, engaging aesthetic for the resources provided.
Arcade Machine
The arcade machine is where the QR code concept first took shape. Originally, we planned to display phone numbers, but when space became an issue, we needed a solution that was both interactive and accessible. This design draws inspiration from classic gaming, turning resource access into something visually engaging and easy to use. By scanning the QR code, users can instantly connect to essential crisis helplines and support services, making help just one scan away.

With a variety of styles, these decals reflect inclusivity and community, offering options that resonate with different audiences. Whether placed in schools, campuses, or public spaces, they serve as a reminder that help is always within reach.
QR Code Resources
(Safe Space; Safe & Brave Space)
These decals blend visibility with affirmation, featuring the Pride, Trans, and POC flags. Designed to symbolize solidarity, they ensure that LGBTQ+ individuals and communities of color know they are seen and supported. With a quick scan, users are connected to essential crisis resources, making access to help immediate and inclusive.
Decals labeled as Safe Spaces signal environments where everyone can express their true selves without fear or prejudice. Safe & Brave Spaces go further—inviting open conversation, learning, and allyship, creating a community of growth and understanding.
These designs aren’t just about access—they’re about making a statement that everyone deserves a space to feel safe, valued, and empowered.
